berolina Schriftbild has a long history in a young market. With the rapid distribution of personal computers and printers the waste piles of empty toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges and ribbon cassettes grew. The vision of the paperless office did not become reality – quite the contrary. Due to the wide use of the internet even more paper is printed than ever before.

berolina Schriftbild manufactures high yield consumables for laser-, ink- and matrix printers. With these berolina reduces printing costs and takes care of the environment twice: More yield means less waste – this is product-integrated environmental protection.

• 1968 Establishment of the enterprise as a trading company to the commercial end-user
• 1971 Start of ribbon cartridge manufacturing
• 1984 Entering in manufacturing of toner cartridges – Opening of the first foreign subsidiary
• 1986 Extension of the R&D department – the unique berolina IQ toner and ink is developed
• 1994 Expansion of the manufacturing facilities
• 1997 Certification according to ISO 9001 as the first company in the industry
• 1998 Certification as a specialized waste disposal company
• 2001 Development of total print solutions for the commercial printing environment
• 2002 Construction of a new production and warehouse facility – the total floor space is increased to 7,500 square meters
• 2004 berolina repositions itself as a total printing provider; Goal: Reduction of all printing costs for the end-user
• 2005 Establishment of the company division "Project management". Introduction of a wide range of services concerning the optimization of printing costs for corporate printer environments.
• 2007 Implementation of new manufacturing technologies for the production of toner cartridges for laser printers.
